I hate to be told "be yourself". It usually means "act like someone else"
This is my first record of an electric guitar.
Edit : Johnny Cashpoint added a superb thick raw and gnarling bass to the song. It's just perfect thank you Johnny !

— English translation below —
Ne bouge plus, tiens-toi droit,
Exagère ton sourire
Ventre durci, cambre-toi
Tes yeux doivent resplendir
Poli comme un rubis brut
Impassible, hors d’équilibre
Oublie les yeux qui te scrutent
Maintenant… sens-toi plus libre !
Surtout reste naturel
Tes fils seront transparents
Surtout reste naturel
Bon petit pantin savant
Le client le spécifie
Dans le contrat, c’est marqué
Tu incarnes l’égérie
De la pure liberté
Alors fourni un effort
Montre tes dents, pas ta glotte
Serre ton sourire, l’or
Beurrera mieux tes biscottes
Refrain
Pont
Va chercher au fond de toi
Des dépôts de liberté
Rapporte-les jusqu’à moi
Je saurai les monnayer
Refrain
_________________________________________________
Don't move, stand straight,
Exaggerate your smile
Hardened your belly, arch your back
Your eyes must shine
Polished like a rough ruby
Impassive, off balance
Forget the eyes that scrutinize you
Now... feel free!
Chorus :
Above all stay natural
Your stringswill be transparent
Above all stay natural
Good little puppet
The client specifies it
In the contract, it is written
You are the icon
Of pure freedom
So make an effort
Show your teeth, not your throat
Tighten your smile, gold
Will put butter on your bread
Chorus
Bridge
Go deep inside yourself
find the last traces of freedom
Bring them to me
I'll know how to monetize them
Chorus

au début j'ai lu tes fils comme ta progéniture, après j'ai réalisé qu'on était dans un autre registre.
cools paroles et l'instrumentation est pleine de défiance - bien joué!

Fascinating sound mix - very intriguing. I like the French (glad there was a translation, but amazed at how much I could get the gist with my old school French!) I liked the bass too.
@nancycunning Mar 2022
I like the way all the instruments are bubbling up the whole time like the self that the voice is trying to tamp back down. For me it's especially fun that these lyrics are in French, because French feels like such an elegant well-behaved language. Now I want to listen to lots more of your songs. Good work with the guitar.

Yes, the bass is just perfect. It adds the hard-edged foundation and lets the other instruments be more ornamentation. The whole thing is beautifully chaotic. :)

Wow, just wow (using the translation). Cruel, cynical, oh so true. A catchy groove too. 1st Electric guitar recording? goes well. Bass ties it all together. (I wouldn't even have come here if I hadn't seen your plea on forums! Glad I took notice!)

Deeply insightful lyric. Digging the sludge bass and the song is catchy overall.
@darcistrutt Mar 2022
Interesting mixing of sounds. The lyric makes me glad I'm not in the modeling industry. The electric was good, tucked in.

Nice combination of sounds. Definitely appreciate the English translation. This feels like it’s being performed with the proper attitude, vocally and the guitar and ukulele.

Great song, and you've chosen a very relatable subject. I don't understand French, so I had to read the English translation, and I'm amazed at how poetic even the translation is.
Love the performance too, and I agree with @johnnycashpoint 's comment. If you work further on this song, a little bit of bass will probably be nice

You had me at two chord song! I really like the space throughout the song. I would probably add some bass to it, but that's just me. Nice solo-ing. The sleazy guitar at the end is a bit sleazy, in a good way!
