It's a song
Haven’t I seen you somewhere before?
I can’t remember your name
I bet you get that a lot, ‘cos you’re hot
But really I have no shame
The music is loud, but we can still smile at each other
I could buy you a drink, saves us having to think
Of something to say,
We could let it all out on the dance floor
And maybe later I could walk you home?
When I saw the red rose, I thanked God it was you
Cos this never ever happens to me
The last girl who caught my eye was a guy
He was sweet, but it wasn’t to be
Cos this kind of thing it never happens to me
So maybe I haven’t seen you before
But I’d sure like to be with you now
What do you say, throw caution to the wind?
Those who’ve not lived are those who have not sinned
What do you say?

Yes, clubbing is a rather sad scene, isn't it, at least if you're looking to really connect with someone new. Really great lyrics describing it well and I like your melody too. Good song.

Oh this song takes me back to my youth. I hated the cattle market aspect of discotheques that you capture so well here.
I like the details, especially the bit about the girl who turned out to be a guy. I was puzzled by the Red Rose reference, though. Can you clarify, or is that part of the song's mystique?
