Bad brain day, good portmanteau day.
P.S. I made this after listening to @looprication's "a sleepless dream" four times in a row, so go listen to that.
Meet me on the other side
Or don't.
I can't believe what this world's done to me.
I won't.
Take me down to the river
Show me your stuff.
What's a little blood?
You think you're tough?
Who's taking you home tonight?
It's gonna be rough.
----------------------------------------------
Lady how's your plasma?
I hope you like red lights
Jesus I'm in stitches
But I'm happy to see another knife
Room Number One, boy how about that?
Fawning over nurses in my new habitat

Damn, I inspired something?? And it was as great as this?! That percussion and the theremin-like sound play off each other brilliantly, sounds like hospital machines. Talk about storytelling, you've nailed the "show, don't tell" tenet here, illustrating everything around what's actually the center of the song until all that's left is a space where that thing is revealed. Bravo.

This arrangement is spectacular, the backwardsy sounds and hushed vocals perfectly work together to create the perfectly unsettling environment for these lyrics to shine. But, like, shine... darkly.

Oh my god.
This blew me away. That piano, the backwards guitar, the thermin-esque synth & those drums. Wow. Not to mention the vocals! I can see why you marked this as a favourite. This is my new favourite of yours.
Just wow.
Your genius shines brightly on this track, my friend!
See You In The Shadows…

Oh, this is all kinds of good. The sparse industrial beats and watery, winding guitar (?) and synth (?), balance the piano part beautifully. The vocals totally suit the darkness of the lyrics. Has what I've come to think of the as the quintessential creepy Captain backing vocal. I like this very much.

Eerie. The musical restraint works well with the sparse hints at horrific stuff in the lyrics. Here's to brains and to their ability to change!
And thanks for teaching me a new word: portmanteau/Kofferwort.
