I don’t believe that you’re gone
I don’t believe that you’re gone
I could believe you
But then I’d have to grieve you
So I don’t believe that you’re gone
I saw you through the window from the road
In the Valentine card aisle all alone
At the old time drugstore
Next to Rick’s Szechuan
So I don’t believe that you’re gone
Gone is where the heart is
Gone sweet gone
Gone begging, gone fishing
You’re just egging me on
You better listen to me
I don’t believe that you’re gone
I don’t believe that you’re gone
I could believe you
But then I’d have to grieve you
So I don’t believe that you’re gone

Good good good! Such a great bookending chorus. Beautiful, bendy (lilting?) voice. And I get the comedy of it all too, "Szechuan/gone" haha fantastic. "Gone is where the heart is," ooooh so nice. So happy to have found you and your song!

Great simple delivery. Vocals are honest and true. I can see the road and Rick Szechuan too. Love it.
