It's a day late for Valentine's Day, but I wanted to ensure that I did at least one FAWM song that focused on themes of a sincere, wholesome love. This details a tender exchange between two sweet souls, in the style of 60s baroque vocal pop groups such as the Free Design or the Left Banke. If nothing else, it was a good exercise for my falsetto.
I
Have you ever watched someone fall asleep?
Calmed them with a song, tried to help them breathe?
Warmed them with a smile, promised not to leave?
Wished them sweetest dreams, full of light and peace?
II
So right, so kind,
So deep, so nice,
Your love, my mind,
Your heart, our time.
III
Talk to me, love is here,
Talk to me, here to stay,
Talk to me, don’t be scared,
Talk to me, don’t let go.

This is great! Appeals to the music theory/history nerd in me AND to the side that loves 60s vocal pop groups. And although the point is the well-written and well-rendered harmonies here, I love the guitar parts too! Kudos.

Lovely lovely song. Beautiful vocal delivery. Yes it has a baroque feel but it’s also potentially a great pop track imo.
