Someone (@dragondreams) said to me recently there are no rules to FAWM, do it however you want (those weren't his exact words). The thing is I Iike rules, it gives me permissions to do things or indeed not do things. It makes life easier if you have rules, although yes they also constrain.
So whilst out walking the dogs, it suddenly came to me, I do a lot of twiddling around when I'm practising, why don't I record one of those sessions? When I practise piano I do like many people probably, do some scales, some chords, arpeggios, some theory, learn some songs. But then I get distracted.....and that is where the fun starts.
I often learn part of a song and then wonder, but what does it sound like with a different instrument, a different timing, with the notes in an unintended order? This is when I realised that I do break the rules quite often.
Therefore this track is me just playing around with some notes from a piece from Swan Lake. Playing live and seeing what comes out, one of the individual tracks in this is just one note sustained throughout and I used the cut-off to fade it in and out and the pitch bender wheel.

Damn, I absolutely loved those sounds. Especially that bit more bass-like sound. Whole song really sounds a bit dystopian, as it is slightly chaotic, but its quite compelling dystopia.

I like it. Very personal sounding. I can picture you in a dark room making this. :)
Also, screw the rules! :D

It's certainly different! And using that sonic palette has opened up a new direction for you. Go with it! I'm hearing a Vangelis flavour here.

Great idea well executed. Very captivating.
