TC sent me his vocal file, I added some music, and heeeeeere we are.....
Rough demo as usual, but it will be worked on further post-FAWM.
I'm a big fan of throwing seemingly disparate pieces of music together, like some of the stuff on The Beach Boy's "Smiley Smile" album, and that's what happened here.... although it wasn't planned. It never is...
Thank you, TC!
Blessed is the tenderness I feel this night like stars on high.
Greater than stars or suns.
Hemmed in by pretty thoughts and pretty things: A vision in the moment of its birth.
On this path an eye must cease to see.
Words and thoughts insufficient.
I ask a sister spirit to help me explain and the world disappears.
Only tranquility remains.
Can this be death?
The kingdoms of the world fail to reach such heights.
Disbarred from the sacred order of eternal truth.
Blinded and unknowing the presence of this thought: Myself, by nurture, meditation and grace, a primal being.
A truth that cannot be untaught.
A wealth both unattainable and attained.
Unearned but freely given.
Intangible yet eternal.
This moment and I
I fear I've touched immortality and will never know it again.
Its brittle nature comes crashing down as I once again learn to breathe, learn to be human.
And assume the human failings that define our mortal existence.
I'm lost.

I'm lost too, but I like what you did with the verses versus middle part, works great!

hi Pete, Sweet track. I wrote you somewhere else asking for permission to air your collaboration with Wobbie on a local community radio station (check out KOPN.org) in Missouri. USA. I didn't hear back, don't know if that is a negative, or just that you didn't see the note.
@nicetrip Feb 2022
I like art rock feel it has, great work!
@heliosonorous Feb 2022
Really like the variety in here and the shifts as it goes!
@zecoop Feb 2022
This was fantastic! I love how the style changes but it keeps a sense of fitting, with the vocal in there. Really cool to hear the musical interpretations and how it morphs. Well done
@acousticmaddie Feb 2022
Cool collab. You both are always so creative love how you laid the soundboard. Very nice.
@mikeskliar Feb 2022
wow, this is really wild and so creative! i'd love to see the lyric printed out, there's so much here- and that music outrageously transports the listener! great collab all around!
@sw1n3flu Feb 2022
oooh I like the way to steps up midway through - take the listener on a trip! Where did the words come from - they're cool.
@jibbidy34 Feb 2022
Oof what a fantastic mash up of mediums. Love your creativity Pete! So happy to see you on FAWM this year!
@coolparadiso Feb 2022
this is good! that spoken start sparse but clear then some cracking guitars and then to piano! really very well thought out and done
