All of my favorite italian-american singers have fun songs about food/love. I've always wanted to add my own.
I got super frustrated with Garageband seeming to bend notes without my permission so please point me to the forum thread about garageband misbehavior! That opening note got bent whether I played by hand or manually entered it on the piano roll. I eventually had to give up so I don't spend the whole month on one note.
We go together like Tomato and mozzarella
A perfect combination, like coffee and stracciatella
Complementary flavors, there’s nothing we can’t do
Why did it take so long to learn I went with you?
You can pair us up like baked ziti and table wine
There’s always bread and olive oil from the vine
Such a romantic meal to be shared by two
Why did it take so long to learn I went with you?
Like the apizza dough with out the yeast
Like the frying pan that hasn’t been greased
The state of the kitchen makes me so blue
What was I doing what was I doing without you?
Never separated like Pasta e fagioli
Who could even imagine, the filling without Cannoli?
Everything I’ve said is obvious and true
Why did it take so long to learn I went with you?
Like the cavatells without the sauce
Like the sandwich without tutte gos'
The saddest thing you ever knew
What was I doing what was I doing without you?
We go together like Tomato and mozzarella
A perfect combination, like coffee and stracciatella
Complementary flavors, there’s nothing we can’t do
Why did it take so long to learn I went with you?
che cosa stavo facendo senza di te?

Questo è a musica che amo tanto! What a beautiful and serene song with such a lovely tarantella-like feel to it! Love that! Great lyrics as well, very clever write and the parallels between love and food are delicious! :-) Enjoyed this one sooooo much!
