Feb 2022 convoheart punkabilly
I was assigned the candy heart "Miss You" for the FAWM candy hearts anti-love-song challenge. Here tis.
Guitar, drum loop, acoustic bass, vocal: me
I don't miss you
Even if you think I do
I don't miss you
I'm really glad we're through
All you did is wreck my heart
Not love's arrow, a poisoned dart
All you did is hurt my brain
To miss you would to be insane
I don't miss you
Even if you think I do
I don't miss you
I'm really glad we're through
Your beauty wasn't even skin deep
In fact, you're just a semi-pretty creep
Glad I saw through your caustic ways
So I'm not left in a dissolved haze
I don't miss you
Even if you think I do
I don't miss you
I'm really glad we're through

Ha! Love what you did with the candy heart! Vocals really brought out the feeling. "Your beauty wasn't even skin deep, in fact, you're just a semi-pretty creep..." LOL Fantastic lines! Excellent "ground-in" music will be forever embedded in my head. Superb work on the challenge!

Lovely. I like that drum beat, and the manic strumming. Nice one. :)

Loved this!!! Really fun and the vocal delivery was hysterical. Wish this was on the radio.

musid is really funny and the last verse before the chorus is howlarious.

Well now. Here's something I was not expecting from metalfoot AT ALL. I think this is undiscovered genre for you. You totally own it!
I love all the little pauses where it's just the drums and the vox. Can't get more punk than that!

An interesting new direction for you. I like the energy, and it seems to be a healthy channeling. Strong words, but there's not a whole lot of vitriol. Comes across as more of a spokesperson, speaking a universal truth - we've all dealt with caustic people, even if we didn't manage to be so articulate about it.

I... LOVE... THIS.

Punk from metalfoot! Semi-pretty creep was a great description.

Methinks thou dost protesteth trop. The variety of talent in your head, voice and fingers is impressive.
