I think this is the best non-sad love song I've done yet. It's usually hard for me to be purely positive and loving without feeling like I'm drifting into gaudy cliché territory, but this feels like it's got a good balance to it.
Now to see if its namesake likes it tonight! Thanks FAWM for making it easy to pump out a lovesong every year on Valentines day XD
You are the strawberry
That sneaks through potholes in the street,
Just when I think that the world is dead and scary
You're ripe and warm and soft and sweet,
And I want you to cover
All the contours of my cheek.
Reach down and discover Abby.
You are the songbird
That sticks it out through the construction.
Though you've gotta know it's kinda hard being heard,
You ply your pretty little arts of seduction.
You reach out for a lover,
I cling to every word.
Close my eyes and discover Abby.
In every song I sing
I wonder if our love will bring me
Words to say you're everything.
You are the deep water,
I am the kid covered in lotion.
Your surface flashes as the sun is getting hotter,
But down below I see entire worlds in motion:
Clouds of fish that scatter or hover,
Dancing in their strange devotion.
Dive in and discover Abby.

Lovely one-take with interesting lyrics. Upbeat and not sad for Valentines. Good stuff!
