Feb 2022 electronic indie pop vocal phrase valentine sdaynightmare
So I had this vocal phrase I was intrigued by and thought it might work for a Valentine nightmare - lol!
But, honestly, even though I'm enjoying a special day with my sweetie, I've become so cynical about most holidays, especially since Covid. Corporations aren't even trying to hide their greed these days and holidays are pushed on us by marketers.
Interesting tidbit I read on the Jacquie Lawson website about how in Britain, traditionally, Valentine's Day was for couples but their American customers include everybody so they added cards for one and all. Leave it to us Americans to be so "inclusive," (at least when it comes to marketing), thereby, missing the whole point of it all. Oh... I almost forgot - the point is to make money.
Yep, I'm getting quite cynical. :)

Great opening- Hooks me right in. Use of your haunting voice as an exquisite instrument . Love it all.

Haha! For the last song I just now "reviewed", I commented on how I was hearing a LOT of "horror-themed" music this season, and speculated whether we were all getting fed up with the pandemic and taking it out on the music. Here's another one!
And, to be clear, I DO like horror-themed music. This one is great!!

I love the vocals, you could do a remix with bigger beats - that might be good?

Love those spooky backing vocals and the arrangement really works well on this track. That chorus is a real earworm, so I can see why it intrigued you!

You were one of the first people to encourage me when I was a fawmling years ago. That was a lovely and welcome gesture.
And as always, your voice matches your soul.
Nicely done.
