Wacha assigned me Killer Klowns from Outer Space for the Movie Title challenge. I did a bit of research on the movie thanks to YouTube.
I then decided that the trigger for the klowns coming to Earth should be that they had intercepted the golden record that was contained in Voyager 1 when it set off in 1977. That was a 12 inch phonograph record containing some iconic music from around the world, including Johnny B Goode by Chuck Berry. The eagle-eyed might spot a connection with Berry's song in the resultant lyrics ...
Killer Klowns From Outer Space
(Verse 1)
Up in the outer cluster, close to a dying star
Way out in the darkness so very very far
There stood a Big Tent, made of skin and bones
Where lived the Killer Klowns, sickly clones
They never ever learned to play nice, oh well
Nice doesn’t cut it when you send souls to Hell
(Verse 2)
We sent a Golden Record, flying up past Mars
In Seventy-Seven, in our quest to reach the stars
It found that Big Tent, made of skin and bones
Where lived the Killer Klowns, dying all alone
They laughed as they listened, silly human fools
Broadcasting their presence, soon to be food
(Chorus)
Killer klowns from outer space
They’ll wipe the smile right off your face
Killer klowns from outer space
They’ve come to eat the human race
Killer klowns from outer space
They’ll munch the flesh right off your face
Killer klowns from outer space
They smell the fear and love the taste
(Verse 3)
They spun that Golden Record, memorised the old hits
Sang Johnny B. Goode cruising in their attack ship,
They’d left their Big Tent, made of skin and bones
They’d soon be feasting on The Beatles and The Stones
They never ever learned to play nice, oh well
Nice doesn’t cut it when you send souls to Hell
(Verse 4)
Klowns plastered on their makeup, practiced their best smiles
Sharpened up their butcher knives, and baked lethal pies
They’d get a new Tent, made of skin and bones
Nowhere could be better, a new forever home
They laughed as they listened, silly human fools
Broadcasting their presence, soon to be food
(Chorus)
Killer klowns from outer space
They’ll wipe the smile right off your face
Killer klowns from outer space
They’ve come to eat the human race
Killer klowns from outer space
They’ll munch the flesh right off your face
Killer klowns from outer space
They smell the fear and love its taste

Can't say I saw this movie, but I get the picture. The record is a clever and imaginative idea. I like the chorus. This should sing very well! I'd like to hear this with music.

That will be a really catchy chorus! I like the details and contemporary references to the weird sounding film. Great cadence and take on the movie challenge!

LOL, a very trashy movie you got in the draw! Great 'background to the movie' story you developed!

Oh yeah, I remember that movie. lol. You did a splendid job here. Good rhythm, nice rhyming and of course a fair share of humour. Feasting on The Rolling Stones and singing Johnny B. Goode, that's just brilliant. Go, Simon, go! Needs some good ol' uplifting music, all majors of course.
