Feb 2022 sunday-squeamish-skirmish slothcore-adjacent
@pipewrench67 Ran a lovely live stream for the prompt/inspiration for a skirmish. I found it all sorts of inspirational https://fawm.org/forums/topic/12689/
I'm actually really happy how this turned out even if it may be a little fast for #slothcore , but bpm is relative, just depends on how ya count :D
For those who are afraid... they should put on armor... it helps, it helps.
Touch your toes/bend your knees/etc/etc
But in this Hulla Balloo we all fall down.

This very cool. It sounds like something that would play at the end of a horror movie while the credits role. Or maybe like inside the mind of a psychotic person. Not sure what makes the sound like shears, but it is so creepy and scary. I enjoyed that very much!

This feels massive and a LOVE it! The fade in works so well, there's a bit of unease but it never feels like chaos. This is impressive, skirmish or not.

Love the title. Holy shit…it’s a nightmare I don’t wanna wake up from! I feel like frank from hellraiser…like I kinda like the way it’s scary! Lol nah you know I love this! Damnit DZD I meant to hit u up for a collab (if you find me to be worthy anyways) either we need to do one for 5090 or one in the off season for fun! You’re a damn genius!

Oh the bass. Oh the vocals. Oh the insectoid noises. This is a rather interesting trip through a dark & dangerous land. Reminds me a bit of a Three Fish tune, from their first album. The song's name escapes me at the moment, but it has a lot fo the same types of tones in it. Yeah, this puts me to shame. I gotta get off my butt & do some #slothcore already!
See You In The Shadows…

I’m afraid just listening to this. I think I mean that in a good way, but buddy , you’re freaking me out.

woah. this was knife sharpeningly anxiety inducing.
when i listen to music - i like to feel things - and this definitely made me feel things!!
love the false ending.
how the intro creeps up on the listener.
great sounds
hulla balloo is a clever combination of words
it might give the listener the false sense that this is gonna be a joyous romp..
and i guess in a weird way it is...
in a scary kinda romping way...
so cinematic
love it!

This is really cool - a swirling, slow maelstrom of eerie sounds and distorted vocals. The percussion is creepy as heck, as if people are being tortured in Hell. I like the high voice in the background as a counterpoint to the deep one. True horror!

I'm sorry I missed that livestream.
This is more like sloth dance music.
Great headphone mix here.
Lots of interesting drone noises going on.
Those vox are freaking me out; like I'm in a nightmare where I'm at the airport listening for my flight announcement and I'm getting stressed out (in the dream) cos all I'm hearing over the PA system is "REGLANARB BRAKKIND" and such and I'm surrounded by giant chittering insects wearing suits and looking at me strangely cos I'm just a human.
Whoa, I shoulda known it wasn't over.
I'm liking those massive bass tones.
Excellent work.

Great track, so sloth and full of heaviness, the vocal lines add really well and add weight to it.
@rayboneor Feb 2022
I girded my loins in preparation. This sounds really cool. At first I wondered whether it was playing at all. It sounds to me like it was really slow, maybe nano-sloth, and then speeded up. Anyway, I'm not sure what to say. It's like the soundtrack for some sort of ominous space opera

Those fuzzy buzzy rich sounds are really are cool. The vocal effect is perfectly creepy and compelling. Awesome vibe you create here!
