I came up with this melody in high school, about 45 years ago, but came up with the lyrics this month.
Our mission in the war it was to sneak into Berlin
But we came upon a shed with a leviathan within
So we took it on ourselves to swipe the floating Zeppelin
If it doesn’t tip the scales then how can it be a sin.
Chorus:
In our stolen Zeppelin, in our stolen Zeppelin
We’re traveling the world in our stolen Zeppelin
From the northern polar bear to the southern penguin
We look down on the world from our stolen zeppelin
We thought that we would bring the monster back to Engle-land
But our plans were shifted eastward by the whimsey of the wind
So we took in all the wonders of the east of India
Then we flew across the ocean on to Argentin-i-a
(Chorus)
If you want to come aboard her wear the fanciest of dress
For she is the flying version of the Orient Express
And if flying for a year or more would bring to you distress
We will go down to old Maui for to take a bit of rest
(Chorus)

Another filk song that would be great as the music for an animated short!

Most adventuresome! I really like the whimsy of this. It's neat how you can paint some clear mental pictures with just a few words--"the flying version of the Orient Express" definitely stirs the imagination. I look forward to hearing this when I get the chance.

"In our stolen Zeppelin"! What a lovely thought. I hope the music appears soon.
