Every chord is an inversion of Cm7
What if you convinced me into thinking all my love was in vain
That every note was distant as a raindrop
And slowly slipped down the drain
And every word disappeared into the darkness
And dressed you up in disdain
Only to find you were hoarding all the moonlight
Trying to remember your name
What if I convinced you into thinking
That every Song was the same
Every note contained entire oceans
All the beauty and blame
And every word was braver than the mountains
And brighter than flame
Even the moon is just reflected sunlight
Shining back where it came

Great poetic lyrics and cool music idea with the Cm7 inversions.

This is neat idea. A one-chord song with internal harmonic movement to keep it interesting, and lyrics to hint at the same. Nice one!

Cool idea to play with the inversion and really pairs with the lyric. Vocals sound great and the melody has nice movement. Great work!
