has a melody and structure that I enjoyed creating...
She moves her head
And With a gentle gesture Shows that she loves Just by the light
Just by the light
The light that changes in her eyes…
it is like all the other times before
So why is it so amazing
it is like all the other times before
So why does it seem so new
She held hands with autumn
Now summer is memory banished away just by her hand
just by her hand
Her hand that pushed aside the sun
it is like all the other times before
So why is it so amazing
it is like all the other times before
So why does it seem so new
Though the days seem so brief
the nights last so long under Her thick white robe just by her love
Just by her love
Her love that changed My whole world
it is like all the other times before
So why is it so amazing
it is like all the other times before
So why does it seem so new

A hymn to mother earth? A peon to Winter anthropomorphized? Or an address to a lover.... They're all valid interpretations of these lyrics. I could hear a piano accompaniment bin my head. Pity I can't play piano to demonstrate it though ;-)

This is lovely - to my ear, it walks the line between a prayer and a hymn. The personification of Winter is really original and compelling. "Why does it seem so new?" Is a really profound question!

Great melody for the chorus for the hook line. That got stuck in my head. Kudos for the acapella performance it does help to hear where you saw this going.

Thank you for this loving look at winter. I also wanted to put all 4 seasons in songs, but winter is hard for me. So I appreciate your point of view very much. This line I like best: ...the nights last so long under Her thick white robe just by her love... great

Wonderful writing! Please let me know if you add music.

And how is it that a song and metaphor can be so fresh? The sense of wonder comes across really well.
