I love things in Blues scale and like to try a little something each year with it when I can.
I also try to do raw vocals sometimes, no effects. Here is one of those!
Gravitated towards the closest
Easy reward
But there’s a gap in your soul
And now that you feel it you know
You’ve gotta let go
You’ve gotta give up control
You’ve gotta let go
You’ve gotta give up control, so…
You can taste it, it starts to
Intensify and boy she needs you
Advocated for the goal that you
could afford
But there’s a gap in your soul
And now that you feel it you know
You’ve gotta let go
You’ve gotta give up control
You’ve gotta let go
You’ve gotta give up control, so…
You can taste it, it starts to
Intensify and boy she needs you
boy she needs you
Sometimes things just happen too fast
Sometimes things are great but don’t last
Sometimes
You’ve gotta let go
You’ve gotta give up control
You’ve gotta let go
You’ve gotta give up control, so…
You can taste it, it starts to
Intensify and boy she needs you
Sometimes things just happen too fast
Sometimes things are great but don’t last
Sometimes
You can taste it, it starts to
Intensify and boy she needs you
and boy she needs you

What a cool progression and melody! This is really good. The dry vocals do work really well. There is a sense of urgency and importance for the message. That sax is just so cool hanging out emphasizing what you are singing. Bluesy, but not blues--kind of like how Morphine did it....Very cool sound and song!

The drums that pause and return give the song a lot of tension. The instruments all sound played live, I like that very much. Very powerful and directly recorded.

The haunting lead melody, the lonely trumpet. the foreboding bass melody…it all comes together to just make a chillingly mournful tune. It’s a vibe for sure.
