Just whipped together something with a drum track, euphonium and mando run with a hint of ukulele solo. The Walk of Shame is something felt until one turns about 40 then we don't care anymore...edited 2/28/22 (in parenthesis) Edited version does meet week 4 challenge 4-chord loop. Updated link to revised song https://soundcloud.com/cindy-thompson-11/walk-of-shame-revisited
You think others know, be it friend or foe
Where you go, why your head hangs low
chorus-
It's the walk of shame again
When will this ever end?
Vows taken could make this alright ("Sorry" said,...)
A heart's breaking in the sleight (One's offended...)
You can't face a friend
As you leave his door, same clothes you wore
The night before, can they stare any more?
The Walk of Shame... (skip)
Seen with the wrong group, as you're eating soup (seated down...)
How low can you stoop? Feeling out of the loop....
(walk of shame, walk of shame)
In the dragon's lair, oh, the heat of their stares
She's not going anywhere, she cut her hair (life isn't fair)
The Walk of Shame (skip this)
Can't look him in the eye, surely he see the lies
For this He died, the wafer goes down dry...
chorus
Walk of Shame...
All have been there, as if, they don't care
Please be prepared, go about it with prayer
You don't need to belong, always reminded of wrongs
Sing a new song, it's been there all along
No more shame, no more shame
ending chorus-
No more walk of shame again, this has met it's end
Repentence makes it alright
You corrected the sleight
Forgiven by a friend...
No more shame

nice concept! I especially like the horns, created this kind of melancholy undertone that added a lot. I also like that you used mandolin, although I don't know enough to be able to know which one it was, but the overall impact was kind of like a cute-oh well kind of feel. Plus, I always appreciate a dragon reference! :)

Really sweet homage played with interestingly vocal and musical notes & pitches, very sweetly done :) The ugly beautiful complex of a simple truth of a harsh reality sometimes.
*we should remember to keep our chins up*
