(En français plus bas)
I wrote this song pretty fast, and actually spent most of the time memorizing the lyrics because I wanted it to sound authentic.
Hence I performed it live and recorded the guitar and the singing at the same time. I think this song needs to be rewritten a bit, produced in a different style, but it has some potential.
I used the words "therapeutic songwriting" to describe it. There is a decent amount of scientific research around this topic and I think it is a powerful tool to use with a wide variety of user, whether they are familiar with songwriting or not. Because of the structure of many songs : the chorus which is the "core" of the issue, the different verses which are different viewpoints/examples and the bridge which is often a look at the issue from a whole other perspective which helps unblocking the perceived problem. And I think this tool can be used as much as a coaching tool than a therapeutic tool.
For me, it was indeed liberating to go from the scare of writing a new song (the feeling is real...), then to the scare of asking for payment (a recurring problem of mine) and finally the fear/excitement of the beginning of a relationship. With the bridge being helpful to put everything in perspective.
What are your thoughts ?

FR :
Thank you fear for being there
To show me the way
Showing what I dare to care for
So I can be brave today
Don't you believe that art is a sacred thing?
That should be left to celestial beings
So what am i doing, stitching words together
I ain't even a native English speaker
Why in hell this challenge, with so little time?
I am feelinbg scared to start this third song
I'm downright Terrified, to write down this rhyme
Now There's no way back, if I was wrong all along
Why ask payment for the work that I have done?
It gives me a scare to ask people to be fair
Why should people pay when I'm having fun?
I guess I will stay poor, until I grow a pair
Why even bother? Sounds like i have time to spare
People also know, that i have skills to share
However the bills keep piling up
Now i ask for money to refill my cup
Whichever way you look
We're all going to die
Indeed Why so serious?
Let's all enjoy the ride
The thought of spooking this woman, fills me up with dread
But Should I hide the feelings that run inside my head?
Now She needs somebody who gives her space and time
Fine, I can sooth my passion With persistent patience
Because I don't mind waiting… (break, clock tic-tac)... For long
Why blurt out my feelings when I can put them in a song?
Being brave also means being confident enough
To wait a bit in the dark even when it's rough

Again, this is interesting with a slantwise angle to it. Good rhythm, good control of all the words, even as not a native Engliah speaker, yet you use some excellent collquialisms... good job.

Thank you so much @debs and @jessicamoon for your feedback ! I’m very happy to see that the vulnerability in the song helps connecting with people.

love it, so good! Your phrasing felt very natural and kind of fit the theme of the song. I like the message to be brave and thanking fear. Also like the strum pattern on the guitar a lot too, especially the pause and tapping in the last part.

I love this approach to songwriting, I think that the fastest songs can often be the truest. Thank you for sharing this vulnerability with us. It's a courageous thing.
