I think I went down a Fleet Foxes road with this one. I wanted to write a love song.
In our lives we love and are loved, and sometimes that love will live on well beyond the people who made it.
Chasing after dreams we were reeling
Slow our breathing
Love will find you, and we’re
laughing, as we’re painting the ceiling
The layers were peeling
Until I found you, and could I
Settle down?
Maybe I’ll settle down
In love with you, I’d like to
settle down
Could we both settle down
Not one but two
Walking down the path from the graveyard
I live on in your heart
I had found you, and a small
hand, pulls you back as they squeeze hard
Your little own lifeguard
they love you too, oh how we
Settled down
Baby we settled down
In love so true, so we had
Settled down
Baby we settled down
Not one but two

I'm glad you mentioned fleet foxes in your liner notes that would have been bugging for ages trying to figure out what it reminded of. This has a really sweet sound. It is very understated but I think there is more going on than I realise. The guitar sounds amazing with all that reverb and I you doubled the guitars. This was a really pleasant listen

Oh man, I really like Fleet Foxes and I can see why you said that. Your words are just so nice and to the point, but in YOUR kind of to the point. I love the chord progressions and how you float that melody over it. The backing vocals are excellent. The whole thing drenched in reverb is perfect in this song...it becomes like another instrument with those sounds floating around everywhere. So nicely done!

Oh wow, this is stunning! The melody, the harmonies, everything. A tearjerker if I ever heard one.

I love the musical vibe. It is in that sweet spot between not happy, but also not sad despite the twist at the end. I also like that it is about love without mentioning the word love. Your imagery is refreshingly unique.
