A religious experience, perhaps? And, hey, I've got seven songs posted ... halfway there!

You stand on the corner, your heart in your hands
Leaning next to a sign spelling out your demands
I stop for a minute. I can’t help but stare
at the words you’ve written so neatly there
what in this world could you be thinking of?
to carry a sign that says “will work for love”?
Hundreds of people are passing you by
But they pay no attention. They won’t catch your eye.
Some sidewalk messiah, ignored by the crowd
For testifying too goddamn loud.
Hell and damnation and heavens above.
Who could believe you would work for love?
What makes you think you’ll find the one you need?
Is it lust or conceit? Is it anger or greed?
I envy your conviction. I envy your nerve.
I could never stand where you are
and demand what I deserve.
Now you’re looking my way. Do you like what you see?
If I offer a job, would you come work for me?
And I smile, almost, but you’re turning away
Seeing nothing of interest in me today.
And I’m wondering now as I walk on alone.
Maybe it’s time I made a sign of my own.

The lyrics are really smart, "Hell and damnation and heavens above.
Who could believe you would work for love?" is not only smart but also catchy. I think the piano suits the arrangement quite nicely. Well worth developing this one further.

An arresting image and potentially a really good song. Definitely a keeper and one to work on.
