Literally just started from a conversation about weird dreams in the pandemic. Turned into a fun Fatboy Slimmy bop where I sorta do some real singin'.
[spoken]
Uhh, I'm, I'm back to voice messages. Sorry.
Love you. Sorry, I'm- (laughs) I… I took double
My normal dose, 'cuz it has been a week.
Um, what was I talking about? Plants.
Stay with me now. Plants. When you put a plant
In a box, and you cut a tiny little hole,
The plant grows to where the sunshine is.
And I think this is what happened in the pandemic.
We were all ripped away from each other,
And our minds had to grow to where the sunshine is.
I've never… I've never actually put it in those words before.
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is
Where the sunshine is

What a lovely idea for a song. And I'm enjoying the old-school synth backing a lot.

Oh man this brings a smile! What a groove. Totally charmed by the approach where the spoken word says the, you know, understandable and translatable part, and the music says the rest. Wonderful old school synth sweeps, makes me miss my Juno-106! After the break when the groove comes back, that's when I really sat up and noticed the squirrelly bass properly. Great sound choices.
