I woke up this morning with a strange rhyme pair idea (tulip/mint julep -- now that sounds like challenge!). Didn't end up using those words, but I wrote this simple folky love song. Imperfect morning voice, recorded on my phone.
Sometimes my hands are stiff and slow
Sometimes my hands can't tie a bow
But my hands are always happy
When they're touching you
Sometimes my feet don't fit my shoes
Sometimes my feet can't kick the blues
But my feet are always happy
When they're walking next to you
Sometimes my eyes squint in the sun
Sometimes I sneeze and my eyes run
But my eyes are always happy
When they're looking at you
I loved you years ago
And I still do
Now that we're old
My hands, my feet, my eyes
My whole body
And I love you with my soul

Country saga at it’s best - getting old and being in love!

Sweet, simple, lovely. This one works perfectly fine as a pure and unadorned one-track recording. Nicely done.

Wonderful lyrics and recurrent "body parts" asserting their importance in this sweet love song. Well done!

That was a sweet song! I like the guitar hook. Good job.
