For the one note challenge, of course. I had been thinking along these lines after a previous discussion online about the number of possible musical scales. What's the simplest possible scale? A "scale" consisting of only one note. So I think I've probably taken the challenge to its logical extreme.
Also, there's a massive number of songs on this site tagged "girl-with-guitar" so I think "bloke-with-bass" deserves a little bit of love.
I hear you drone
In a monotone
To each his own
But I should have known
I hear you drone
In a monotone
Philosophical clone
Thoughts are not your own
That's on the news
But what are your views?
You've the right to choose
Not to sing the blues
Brain-dead
What's in your head?
What you've been fed
Where have you been led?
I hear you drone
In a monotone
Don't pick up the phone
There's no-one home
Pick a tribe
Follow, like, subscribe
Digest, imbibe
Parrot diatribe
I hear you drone
In a monotone
As you piss and moan
In your "free-thinking zone"
Close your ears
And indulge your fears
Accept the smears
And crocodile tears
I hear you drone
In a monotone

There is a really cool rhythm interplay between the vocal and the bass. This is a neat exploration of the "one-note" idea. Good work!

I think you've landed on a cool new genre - 'bloke-with-bass' will catch on! A great take on the challenge!
