Not sure about the title but that is my favorite line from the song.
Written 2/1/22. Might not be done. Definitely need to practice the picking pattern I want on the guitar but wanted to get it posted.
I love waking up next to you
I love staying in bed with nothing to do
your family down south is worried about our weather
but we're home and warm fleece robe and a thrift store sweater
snowstorm on a Sunday, there's nothing better
with you
I love driving down the highway with you
I love our slow growing playlist of singalong tunes
my mama's calling worried I ain't sleeping
somewhere in the backseat you gotta few cans of caffeine, yeah
it's just another late night road trip up to Maine
with you
oh sometimes it sure feels like the world is ending
and we don't know what the future's going to bring
it's so easy to get overwhelmed by damn near everything
and I do
but I love making plans with you
gentle dreaming of different places we could move
your nana's calling worried about our renting
and we're lucky to not budget every cent and thing
sometimes we buy the fancy cheese and pickled beans for me
like you do
I love waking up next to you

Wow, Kerri - from that first note. I love how you sing this. Such a gentle picture of being with the right person. And the details Nana and those pickled beans. Great job.

Agreed on the title; it's a great line among others that jump out. Another being "... overwhelmed by everything, and I do." That note jump at the end of each line is great. It's all a really effective folk-in-blues tune. Your voice sounds great. The performance, though a demo, has a great tenderness and intimacy to it.

Oh, I love this still life done in music. Love all the simple pleasures it details. Gorgeous lift on those vocals on the end of your lines.
