Feb 2022 acoustic-one-take collab blues the-muse-tools
Collab/sprint at a meetup 2/1 hosted by @unpronounceable
We used FAWM's "Muse" tools. We didn't record everything we got but we used:
Titular: Ain't Disappears No Burial
Plot Spline: written in the 2nd person set in one place over a period of time
Struxxure : V - V - B - V - B - V which we did do (SO MANY LYRICS)
LyriCloud: We put "burial" in after we picked the title and some of the words spat out were dawn, digging, dressed, life, bitter, rend
Lyrics by both of us in that collab sprint; @ziggy played it at the event but neither of us really remembered how that went; he sent me the chords he could recall and I finalized the chords and melody from that!

Verse
D D7
You came dressed up in your funeral blacks
Em
Dirt in my nails and ache in my back
A
The crowd turned out for the latest dead
D
Heads bent against the bitter end
Verse
D7
You came again with a wreath in green
No glances for the man at the scene
Em A
Solitary mourners in the cold cruel dawn
D
With The distant lookin on
D D7 Em A A7
Bridge
Em A
There was no earth overturned
Em A
No eulogy vicarial
Em A
The shovel stayed a-hangin’
Em A
Ain’t disappears no burial
Verse
D D7
You slipped into the yard at night
Em
Sipping stolen beers by lantern-light
A
Best move along, without a trace

I love the "huh?" factor of the title-- it pulls you in and makes you want to find out what the song is about, to see if those words end up making some kind of sense to you. The jury's still out on that lol, but it's a beautiful song full of wonderfully quirky phrasing and unanswered questions.

Wow, the hard work on the lyrical collab paid off. It's a rich, mysterious story with some final payoff, and lots of interpretation potential, and LOTS very cool phrases that nail that unusual-but-relatable zone. Nice!

Well this is lovely. Lots of great lines in there. The guitar is so crisp and clean, and that vocal, well, it's beautiful and quietly powerful.
