Horrified by... er, I mean inspired by the Brit award for 'Songwriter Of The Year' I thought I'd also have a go at writing trite piffle over a chord structure and melody a child might write.
Took about five minutes, I can only apologise.
I’ll buy you a bag of chips if you let me kiss your lips
Bet it’s hard to find a dress that fits cos you’ve got lovely hips
Cos I love you so And I want to let you know
Never gonna let you go, Oh no
Cos you’re the lady, I’m a scamp, never going to leave your camp
Shine the light of your lamp cos you’re the lady, I’m the scamp
Saw you walking down the street, Sunglasses on in the heat
Kept up with the pace of your feet Cos I knew we had to meet
Cos I love you so And I want to let you know
Never gonna let you go, Oh no
Cos you’re the lady, I’m a scamp, never going to leave your camp
Shine the light of your lamp cos you’re the lady, I’m the scamp
Now we’re here for all of time I am yours and you are mine
Every day the sun’s gonna shine and everything is fine
Cos I love you so And I want to let you know
Never gonna let you go, Oh no
Cos you’re the lady, I’m a scamp, never going to leave your camp
Shine the light of your lamp cos you’re the lady, I’m the scamp

Something about the rough-around-the-edges sound next to the childlike rhymes that actually works really well. You’ve got my vote!

The title caught my eye! I once saw in a forum post on here advice that if you’re having trouble getting through fawm to reduce it to a science - four chords, basic rhyme scheme, vcvcbc etc, just make something. I like your taking that to the extreme to make fun of that structure itself.
