that's not sitting comfortably
that's jumping on the bed
do you want a story or what?
good then snuggle under the covers
where's Eddie the teddy?
oh you've got him
i think eddie wants a ride in the washing machine
no not NOW obviously
it's bedtime
maybe tomorrow
now. story.
where does this story happen?
nice
what's the weather like?
ooh we like that
who is there enjoying this weather?
aww how lovely
what are they doing?
haha
really? is that right?!
then what happened?
well i never
ok uh huh right yeah

think i nodded off there

Nice work on this, your vocals work so well with the percussion. There's great imagery in the lyrics and they are quite relatable. Well done!
@misterdemp Feb 2022
This is fun music for this text....like getting a kid bed has undertones of a determined wily battle of wits.
@richaaaay Feb 2022
Eddie the teddy…Such creative story telling about story telling…Wonderful skirmish. Totally entertaining. Although you may have dozed off, I certainly didn’t!
@petemurphy Feb 2022
Absolutely love this, Wobbie. You know I'm a big fan of the surreal spoken word stuff, and you've really nailed it here.
Fabulous!
(I'm currently working on our collab. Almost got a rough demo finished. I'll hopefully have something to send you tomorrow. I'm commenting on stuff during breaks, but I'll get back to it now....)

Lol “I nodded off there”
Clever creative work !
@fuzzy Feb 2022
Love those subtly ominous drums.
I like the reversal going on here with the child telling you the story.
Really great vocal delivery.
The one-sided conversation approach is really effective.
Your tracks are always engaging.
@kenmattsson Feb 2022
So clever Wobbie! I love your delivery, as you captured the tired adult attempting to get the child to sleep. The particulars are great. Wonderful skirmish!
@nahlej381 Feb 2022
How’d you know I was jumping on my bed!? This would be a cool intermission on your record coming between a laid back jam and a major punk track track. This came out super dope!
@kahlo2013 Feb 2022
Clever and delightful! Love the flip of the bedtime story! It reminds me of my sweet Nana who would fall asleep when she was asking me questions at bedtime or playing dolls with me when I was a little girl.
@cabinmonster Feb 2022
So cleverly done!! The drums really add something special. There's a softness to them but a little bit of chaos too. It's amazing how this one sided script is all we néed and our minds and imagination fill in the rest. I can actually SEE this kid in bed and HEAR them babbling on but it's not in there. You're so gifted. Loved this.
@tunecat Feb 2022
Loving it from the off. Oh ! My kind of story making it all up as we go along. It’s so lovely . Like a window onto bedtime x
@berni1954 Feb 2022
Oh this takes me back a decade or so to when I used to read to my young daughter every night. Sometimes I'd get her to make up stories too, just like this. I love how you tell a story of telling a story without telling us the story.... BIG GRIN SMILEY HERE
@emkaydeebee Feb 2022
Oh goodness yes, this resonates!! Such brilliant humour as you drop off yourself - this has all good feels about it, so cosy, so intimate, so loving, so real!
@dzdandcunfsd Feb 2022
Hah! As entertaining as some kids stories can be, they are usually pretty boring, can't blame ya for nodding off. Great take on the skirmish just getting one side of the story.
I probably should of just given my dog a ride in the washing machine, would of been easier than the wrestling match I just mostly won while giving him a bath.
@wylddandelyon Feb 2022
This made me smile!
