Feb 2022 singer songwriter folk
First FAWM song. I guess I'm more of a "one song a week" kinda writer :) Hopefully the link to the G Drive audio file works.
Don’t go chasing waterfalls
Down mountains so tall
You’re Falling fearlessly
At the edge of a stream
Floating on the leaves
Where you’ll find me
CHORUS
You know, I will find a way
Cutting through the sadness
Bringing love your way
I will, cross the great divide
On the stars the sea the sky
On the clouds floating by
If there’s air
You know I’m there
For you
You glance a glint of sun
As the wide river runs
Always reaching for the sea
Your riding crescent waves
Being buoyant and brave
Soaking in the energy
CHORUS
You catch a resting jewel
In a moonlit tidal pool
Light only you see
CHORUS

This has such a lovely melody. Sweet lyrics and nice guitar work as well. I'm a week late, but congratulations on writing your first FAWM song!

Something very mournful and country about this. The melody is solid. I see this is your first FAWM -- keep it up! This is a great first outing, would love to hear more.

Congrats on your first FAWM song, fellow Arlingtonian! A nice write and the guitar sounds great. Your voice sounds strong.
Keep going! FAWM is all about just putting things out there, regardless of whether you think it's perfect. I know it takes a while to get over that. Skirmishes were great for me when I first started.

@tseaver thanks! i made that edit

Nice write! I'm hearing the demo fine. "The stars that sea the sky" is a cool and interesting phrase. The stripped down arrangement is perfect for this song.
FWIW, it would be easier on the listener / reader to have the chorus lyric included at first point-of-reference, rather than the end.
