Feb 2022 alternative indie synth synthpop new-wave electronic fawmtronica
This one started with a beat I made last year, and a bassline I came up with in January. Everything else came together over the past couple of weeks.
The abrupt change in direction around the 3-minute mark wasn't planned, nor was it part of the original beat and bassline arrangement, but that's FAWM I guess. Never know where a song is gonna go when you're operating on instinct.

we’ve seen it all before go back a long way
there’s déjà vu galore, it’s groundhog day
if time is on a loop this hell cannot end
another time around, it’s a dead-end
I’ve read this all before, how can it be true?
they got it wrong last time, what ballyhoo
if nothing ever changes, then nothing ever changes
the words they stay the same
and nothing ever changes
not the melody
and nothing ever changes, it stays the same
everything stays the same, everything stays the same
aaah aah aah, aaah aah aah
and you don’t need to know my name
the melody it stays the same

you can hear those 80s electro hooks in this one. and your right, when your creating, songs just become themselves in development, more hooks than a cloakroom, love it.

Really clean production. Vocals sounding great. That walk up synth part is very cool. Love when the heavy riff comes in

Perhaps that change is a coda trying to happen? Whatever, doesn't affect the earlier parts and sounds quite logical. Not a happy smiling people holding hands lyric though! This is the issue with loops! (Joking. Well. half joking). Enjoyed the listen.
