Joy is easy to come by
Let it well up in your heart
And soak into your mind
Sorrow is like a river rolling through
might dry up in the summer
but the flood is coming soon
I'm feeling this sunshine on my face
I'm feeling this water at my feet
I'm feeling this in the moments that I greet
I'm feeling this so I let it all be sweet
Anger is like the embers of a fire
Smoking and stinking
Smothered up by fears
Compassion is a muscle that can tire
Learn to exercise it
And your vibration gets higher
I'm feeling this, the numb has gone
I'm feeling this, the distractions are lost
I'm feeling this, the healing has begun
I'm feeling this, the dancing time has come
(dance break instructions are to shake your bum on the slides)
Gratitude is like a sapling in the wind
You know it won't break while your watching it bend
Grief is like the tree that has fallen
There's beauty in the rot
Bringing new life
I'm feeling this in tears on my face
I'm feeling this in tiny changes that I make
I'm feeling this in the love that I have shown
I'm feeling this in the love that I have known.

Aw yeah! Love me some banjo! The soothing, conversational roll of your voice works so well against the joyful percussiveness of your instrument.

I like how this goes thru different emotions and states of mind. A positive vocal delivery and some fine lines provide wonderful imagery. It has a celebratory feel with the banjo too. Nice!

This is so lovely and uplifting! How lovely to hear a banjo, heavened listen to one in a while. The instrument goes lovely with your voice. I really like the lyrics. "Compassion is a muscle that can tire" is great line, I love that created amazing similes with emotions! Very thoughtful lyrics!
