The lyrics of this song are based on a poem - "I Stand at the Door and Knock" - by one of my kinsmen, Jathan Pfeifle. It's basically a Christian kids campfire song. It's very singable and memorable and tends to loop in your brain long after the singing is done
Open The Door of Your Heart
Behold I stand at the door.
I stand at the door and knock (Knock Knock)
If anyone hears and opens
With him this day, I’ll sup
Friends do you hear that knock (Knock Knock)
That knock at the door of your heart (Knock Knock)
If you open that door, you’ll not regret
For soon you’ll be standing on a rock
Open that door (Echo: open that door)
Open that door (Echo: open that door)
Open the door to your heart (knock knock)
Jesus the Savior is calling for you
So, Open the door of your heart
Jesus the Savior invites
You to open the door to your heart
So, open that door and let the Lord in
His love for you will soon begin
And You'll soon find yourself cleansed of sin
And You’ll never-ever be the same again
So, open the door, open the door
Open the door to your heart
Does anyone hear his voice (knock knock)
He’s calling for you in the dark (knock knock)
He knows that you are struggling
So, open the door to your heart
His love for you will shine
In your face, in your deeds in your heart
In everything you say and everything you do
Jesus will shine in you
So, Open that door (Echo: open that door)
Open that door (Echo: open that door)
Open the door to your heart
Jesus the Savior is calling for you
So, open the door of your heart
Oh, Jesus the Savior invites you
To open the door to your heart
So, open that door and let the Lord in
His love for you will soon begin
And You'll soon find yourself cleansed of sin
And You’ll never be the same again
So, open the door, Open the door
Open the Door to your heart

Oh, how nice. This feels like a sequel to Zaccheus was a wee little man. I have such lovely memories of all those sweet church camp songs. What fun to think of writing a new one.
