Managed to knock this up this evening. I'll go back and finesse it as some point but I'm finding I'm tweaking stuff too much so just putting it out there for now.
Torn up at the seams
Man who cannot dream
Destined to scream
Send me off to Hell
Cast me in the well
Time to toll the bell
Black flag at half mast
My future's past
Time ticks away
I’m so scared of change
Feel so deranged
Why am I strange?
Picking apart all the things I've become every day
Playing my part so I please everyone but that's okay
But I can't ever mend what's been and gone
I go on with this masquerade
I go on with this masquerade
My mind has tourettes
Full of regrets
I can't forget
Hey blisters on my feet
Breakdown is complete
Honey don't taste sweet
Cave my own head in
Eaten from within
No comfort in my skin
So blinded by fear
Can't see too clear
Eyes are filled with tears
Picking apart all the things I've become every day
Playing my part so I please everyone but that's okay
But I can't ever mend what's been and gone
I go on with this masquerade
I go on with this masquerade
Picking apart all the things I've become every day
Playing my part so I please everyone but that's okay
But I can't ever mend what's been and gone
I go on with this masquerade
I go on with this masquerade

Cracking bassline to open things up, and it really kicks on when everything locks onto that groove. The acoustic breakdown was a surprise, but it really works. Another great song.

I love your melody and vocal cadence! The song starts off with a great bass line and goes from there. Nice change of pace in the middle--it really flows well. I get what you're talking about with messing with things too much. I can be that way, too. It sounds really good right now, so whatever else you do will just be the icing and sprinkles! Well done.

I can see why this is one of your favorites! Love the sound of the guitars in the verses, loud-soft arrangement and the anthemic chorus.

Afraid my 5 year old says he doesn’t like it (he’s a big fan of Chicken Wing Beat and Post Malone’s Sunflower these days).
Really like the guitar tones and the contrasts between the different sections of the song.

Oooooooh yes. Chunky chunky bass, put it in my veins. Nice arrangement, dropping out and coming back twice as hard is a great way to do a chorus.

@radioovermoscow if I could get his number I reckon I could convince him. He loves a collab

The verses are almost right out of Incesticide - get Grohl behind the kit!

Lyrics and the frenetic rhythm play well together and the vocals play off them in contrast. This is pretty awesome!
