First thing I did today was listen to "Constant Craving" by k.d. lang. Then I had some coffee and a smoke. Then, I wrote this. Then, I took a walk. How's your day goin?
HEAVEN by Greg Klyma
Heaven
Let me count the ways
Some say heaven is a city in the clouds
Heaven is as plain as day
Heaven
Glory and praises be
I read a story of a street paved with gold
I danced a waltz in a field of green
I have been to heaven
I got down on my knees
At the banks of a river that came down from a mountain
With a song it learned from the tallest trees
I was in heaven
I was in heaven
Ooh ooh hoo
We're in heaven

Thanks, all. I've been listening to kd lang's "Constant Craving" a lot lately. I love all the long vowel sounds in the verses and chorus. I imitating that when I found heeeeeaven. Then, I texted two friends and ask them each to reply with one word. Their responses were "river" and "green."

Beautiful. Agree with the sentiment that Heaven is all around us. Lovely delivery and great guitar work.

Nice write: learning to see heaven in the everyday is even more important than ever these days. Love the image river handing on a song it learned at its source.
