So this is a first ! following a song prompt on FAWM I wrote this about an historical figure randomly selected on wikipedia ! Now I know who Ace Powell is ! or a bit anyway ;-)
Indian cowboys in the wild
Oil filled paintings draw the lines
His father was a wrangler
His father was a handler
For horses at the glacier park
The ace of diamonds
Saw the horizons
Of American western art
He learned from the master
He learned from the leather hide
He learner from the landscape
He kept everything in sight
The painter was a wrangler
The painter was a handler for horses at the glacier park
The ace of diamonds
Saw the horizons
Of American western art

I like how you tell the story of his life and influences. I also like how we don’t hear the title line til nearly the end.
Nice mood, seems fitting. If I was your producer I’d suggest hiring a pedal steel player to put in those lonesome sounds.

very economical storytelling with really good use of words! I like the way you don't rush it and also pick out those higher notes! very nice listen

well I've learnt something from you here too so thanks for that. enjoyed the gentle guitar and vocals, I like your voice when you go up to those higher notes, lovely tone.
