A collab with Michael Standing @leakyplusme2
An uncompromising grungy rock track.
My intros are either straight and short or a minute long, This one is the latter.
Driftwood
Verse 1
Tormented by the future
shackled by the past
Laid it to waste
I buried it at last
Verse 2
The passion was murdered
the dream bitter dies
Reality bites
no trust just venal lies
Chorus
But nobody wins and nobody could
I feel like driftwood (2)
Verse 3
Fooled for a moment
no make that years
Gone is the tide
swept up in flooding tears
Verse 4
Bitterness lingers
bad fruit on the vine
I could sink or swim
that choice was mine
Chorus (2)
Bridge
See the hole
where my heart once stood
A black hole
made of wood
Chorus (2)

Liking the effects on the guitar and the layering of the multiple guitars, that lead is fantastic. Great structure and use of rhyme, great commentary on how relationships can break one's heart and spirit. Great imagery and story telling.

Awesome collab! Love the production and the mix of the vocals! I really liked the end of the song with the guitars riffs! Congrats.

"grungy", "lots of guitars"– okay, must click.
The guitar work itself is excellent. But you could cut it back nevertheless, the intro really is a tad long. As is the song, I believe shortening it would do it good, it has the potential to be a wonderful 4 minute banger. I like the chorus, it's quite catchy.
Quick note on the sound: it sounds squashed and unpleasantly distorted at times, you might have overdone the levels. The mix sounds like it could benefit from turning all tracks down a notch. Hope you don't mind me criticizing, but I like to give honest feedback.
