This is part of the Random Archetypes Oracle Challenge. When I think of the Unseen of God or the spirit world I imagine my loved ones around me. You can see the cards I got below.
Self: the Unseen. "The Unseen is just as it sounds. We cannot see it, yet it sees us-- watching and waiting with wisdom both kind and instructive. We feel this presence, sense it, intuit it... And then doubt its existence, though it rallies our attention time and time again."
Place: the River. "Once we step in, we are no longer in control: the River carries us farther down the stream of transformation than we planned to go. Its waters have a special gift for reflecting back to us a new and dreamlike vision."
Tool: the Venom. "The Venom is always lurking in the shadows in one form or another... Thankfully the cycle of purification in detoxification comes so naturally that it is built into our every exhale... When the venom card appears, there is a harmful substance in our psychic realm that must be identified."
Initiation: Thanatos. "Death is ongoing and omnipresent, an eternal response to the gift of birth... We are forever changed by Thanatos as it sweeps us under its wings, making us relinquish control in every form. It leaves a mark of ash upon our heart, signifying we have touched the cusp of the underworld and will return the land of the living eventually, with more compassion and wisdom to share."
You can't see me
Though I'm standing right here
You walk right thru me
Like I'm invisible
You can't hear me
When I'm speaking out loud
I'm all around you
I'm not on some cloud
CHORUS
Surrounding you
Within, without
Not far away
I'm right within reach
I'll carry you
when you're in pain
I'm always here
The sun behind the rain
If the river pulls you down
Rushing and raging
You fear you'll drown
Let the water take control
Let it transform you
Just let go (chorus)
If the shadows
Suffocate you
And you feel like
Darkness will win
Just breathe in
CHORUS

The title is so lovely and does not only provide a wonderful metaphor, but also a perfect hook. I love the gentle piano melody and how the chorus soars... Wonderful vocal delivery, I am amazed at your vocal range...

Lovely! Yes, the high notes in the chorus are very nice. Very strong lyrics, great title.

The high notes are tingling and beautiful. Ethereal.
Nice work fitting in the elements from the cards.
The chorus lyrics are so comforting.

I love the chorus. It’s so dramatic. This has a soundtrack feeling to it.

Love your take on the challenge, a beautiful lyric and melody, sounds so ethereal.

I love what you are doing with the highs. It's almost like you are bringing another singer in. You have a hell of a range. The highs bring out the majesty of the lyrics.

Good write: the "great cloud of witnesses" indeed. Lovely vocal: finishing the chorus on that ascending line is perfect.

Really nice piano playing. The lyrics are great, but I really enjoyed what your voice did with them. Very imaginative. I really really enjoyed this......

“The sun behind the rain” is a powerful metaphor. Incredible lyrics, gorgeous vocals and piano. An amazing response to the random archetypes challenge!

Aww, favorite of the 3 you've posted so far. What a beautiful chorus. The title itself is stunning. Meditative flow. The high notes resonate. I hope you do something with this post-FAWM :)

Lovely piano bed for your beautiful vocals. The sun behind the rain is a compelling hook, and a comforting thought for the many who have lost someone, as so many have over the last few years. I really love this song.
