Feb 2022 piano instrumental
This piano piece is another "argumentative" one: it wouldn't let me work on anything else, so I've recorded it in order to get past it.

It veers off in cool, unexpected directions for sure, but has a base that seems almost ragtime-y to me. Nice!

Your spring has some rough moments about it, but at the end: "everything is fine" (we say:"alles im grünen Bereich", than it s ambiguous )... another association is: one bud after another opens.
@conuladh Feb 2022
Ooh this is a sweet and soothing piece of music
@hev Feb 2022
This took me on a walk somewhere nice, thank you
@nancycunning Feb 2022
Tres - This is lovely as an instrumental only, feels like turning a thought over in my mind...And it does feel like this time of Spring almost coming but not quite here.
.If you were looking for words something like this might work:
What have we, what have we
What have we here
What always happens this time of year
One sunny day,
The skies bright and clear
Then what have we, what have we here
The snow drops are coming
The snow's stil too deep
The snow drops are coming
Another week's sleep
The snow and the ice
Last month they were nice
But what have we
What have we here
What have we, what have we here...

Ooh that was so soothing… lovely ear candy!!!
@thealchemist87 Feb 2022
Like the melancholy in it that tries to become happy and than everything is fine :)
@pugetive Feb 2022
I have a few piano progressions lying around too - probably none as lovely as this one. Most of them I consider "openings" to songs I'll never write so great idea to just get it out of the way and give it its proper due, I'm glad to have gotten the chance to listen.
@deena Feb 2022
Cool! This floats and climbs.
@nancihobson1 Feb 2022
This tells a story all by itself doesn’t it. I get nostalgia from this. A kind of yearning. Nice !! Thanks for a relaxing listen. Enjoyed it.
@pippa Feb 2022
lovely! well done, both in the composing and also in the playing and the getting through and out. Sometimes that is hard to do. Someone once said, a poem is never finished, it is merely abandoned, or some such.
@gregwere Feb 2022
So interesting, reminds me of Gershwin for some reason, maybe that time period of something, lovely write, Seems to have lots of directiosnit could still take.
@eas3637 Feb 2022
Great tune! I love how it walks the line between chipper and melancholy. Feels like a song that wants a story that’s a little regretful and wry, but heartfelt.
@frank Feb 2022
Oh man, I love this! Such a simple tune, and so relaxing. Great job!
@jtsteam Feb 2022
This is a pretty one. I like the sound of that F7->F#dim7, I might use that myself :). To echo another comment, I can imagine something Tom Waits-y too, although the piano probably needs to be slightly out of tune for that...
@siasa Feb 2022
Man, is there no instrument you can't play? Excellent. I could imagine some Tom Waits-ish lyrics to this.
@cowboydick Feb 2022
Wonderful, sweetly melancholic, with some surprising chord progressions. Lovely. Given this incentive, spring will surely come.
@bradbrubaker Feb 2022
This made me picture a man tipping his hat to all the passers-by, but just getting ignored because everyone is too busy to be polite. Then at the end someone smiles back.
@lifewithtomcat Feb 2022
soothing AND edgy - nice
@prsongsmith Feb 2022
Totally dig this chord progression -- what is that diminished chord in the first phrase??? Would you be willing to write out the chords and share them? On another note -- I can absolutely identify with the need to sometimes memorialize an idea just so I can get on to the next one! (Of course, mine are rarely as interesting and rich as this one!)
@andrea Feb 2022
It's funny how something can get stuck on us and we just can't let it go. Congrats on completing it. It's has a catchy little melody. Nice!
@gilhari Feb 2022
The way music is born amazes me.
@mosley Feb 2022
Nice one! I really dig the changes and the whole vibe of it. It’s funny how some pieces do seem to insist you finish them haha
@caitlin Feb 2022
“Argumentative”, I can so relate to that feeling when creating! That crunchy chord that keeps repeating scratches such an itch - what is it??
@coolparadiso Feb 2022
yup some just have to be let off the leash or nothing else shall pass! very enjoyable piece and now it is out!
@kahlo2013 Feb 2022
This takes me on a wonderful journey. Love how you move through different sections. Well done!
@hazeyjane Feb 2022
Man, that never goes where you think it’s going to go. Every chord had me. A vocal
melody sung over it would be very interesting to hear. :)
