Wanted to write a slow piano piece in 3/4. also wanted to use a bit of orchestration from Spitfire Audio BBC Symphony - strings, horns, flutes and bassoons at the end. Fretless bass guitar. soprano saxophone solo . lyrics came from a winter walk and reading about the myth of Pandora. spent more time on it than originally intended so only second song posted so far.

finishes on G6add2 a little bit of hope at the end
Walking in the winter
feeling so alive,
life goes on, the planet turns
hope will survive
stepping out in sunshine
striding bold and brave
resting on an incline
it’s solace we crave
what was in the jar my love
that fascinated so
please just leave it where it lies
under the snow
no-one knows what lurks inside
deep under the ground
we were told to hide it there
keep it safe and sound

Magical when you hit that Eb6 in the verses.
I'm impressed by your winds scoring, really nice textures.
And a live soprano sax feature! Not jealous!!

Fun arrangement. I like those string sounds. Interesting lyric that leads from a walk in the winter to a mysterious jar.

There is so much going on here, it is hypnotic. I really love it!

The G6add2 is the cherry on top. Well done

Beatlesesque. Very cool, chamber pop kind of vibe. I loved the horns. I too am living in a "winter wonderland" these days (Eastern U.S.). These chord changes and the strings reminded me of that dreamy wintry feeling. A bit of a melancholy, restful feeling.
