Song No. 5
This was one of those great moments of picking up a guitar, immediately playing a never-before played guitar riff, then one hour later you have a complete song recorded that all came out of nowhere.
Anyway, I really had a lot of fun recording this, the bass line was just a hoot to play.
It’s an instrumental surf-rock kind of thing, with Telecaster, Jazz bass, drums (thanks EZdrummer) and lots of reverb.
Hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed playing/recording it!

i mean.. surf-rock guitars 4 lyfe. it's a sound that forever pleases my soul. really love it with that chunky bass tone. is it going to remain instrumental?

Ooh that tremolo guitar sounds awesome. Love a bit of surf rock and this has all the necessary twang and slapback reverb, plus that slightly sinister edge that the best surf rock has. That is a great main riff too.

Love that guitar! Such a fun vibe! The melodies you use are engaging without becoming over-the-top, and that delay is a nice touch. :)

Nice.

Fun write: the catch bass and the verb-soaked guitar make this a great road-trip tune.

Non-guitar players will never know the joy of that "whoa!" moment when you come up with something new. They're missing out!
This has such a cool sixties vibe to it. I love the heavy tremelo on the guitars (I always struggle to keep the ones I have in synch with the drums), and the harmony line that comes in the second time around is very much my sort of thing.
