I don't usually do lyrics like this, but some times I just want to pull my hair out and I need to vent so I don't inadvertently go prematurely bald.
If you don't know US politics, the lyrics refer to an elected U.S. representative from the state of Georgia who isn't making her home state proud.
You see her face everywhere
In papers, on TVs
She’s made herself an expert
On foot-in-mouth disease
Her words come out, with no thought
Ah, what a legacy
It turns out she’s becoming
Her own worst enemy
(Pre-Chorus)
Does she have things right?
…Nope
(Chorus)
You have to be
Some kind of dope
To confuse Nazi agents
With cold Spanish soup
Watch out for…
Watch out for the…
Gazpacho police
Gazpacho police
Gazpacho police
The queen of Covid falsity
With her own far-right chorus
She once said Jewish lasers
Were burning down the forest
(Pre-Chorus)
Does she have things right?
…Nope
(Chorus)
You have to be
Some kind of dope
To confuse Nazi agents
With cold Spanish soup
Watch out for…
Watch out for the…
Gazpacho police
Gazpacho police
Gazpacho police
(Bridge)
She’s famous, yeah, famous
For being…
An ignoramus
(Chorus)
You have to be
Some kind of dope
To confuse Nazi agents
With cold Spanish soup
Watch out for…
Watch out for the…
Gazpacho police
Gazpacho police
Gazpacho police
(Outro)
Gestapo
Gazpacho
Gestapo
Gazpacho
Marjorie, keep it up!

Love these lyrics. Yeah, I've seen her in the news, even from up here in Canada. Sheesh! It takes all types to make up this world, but I wish some of them would stay out of politics. We have a few dopey politicians up here too, but I agree, she's a doozy. Your rhyming and attention to meter in these words is wonderful. I especially love your outro. lol Well done!

Thanks for commenting on my gazpacho song. I figured there would be a bunch. Yours is great. Hey-and good move explaining the back story. At least one person told me they didn’t know the context. At least we have so-called politicians that we can laugh at right now.

This soup thing is heating up. Great fun.
@williamhaight Feb 2022
I would LOVE to put this to music! Let me know if you are amenable. I have one on Mike Pence on Soundcloud if you would like to give a listen.

Oh, this is fun! I read it aloud for my partner, so much fun. She was laughing. I really like the bridge, nice amusing rhyme.
@mikeskliar Feb 2022
ha-- i saw satiric references to 'gazpacho police' for the last day or so before i saw the actual story of the idiot who mouthed it... this is a well done lyric... lol!

"She’s made herself an expert
On foot-in-mouth disease" - Brilliant couplet.
These people wouldn't be so dangerous, if it wasn't for the millions clinging to their coattails and thanking them for expressing what they always felt, but the "PC Brigade" wouldn't allow to be expressed. The politics of hate has a daemon behind it.
@mikehind Feb 2022
HAAAHAHAHAAAA! I love it! Thank you!
My father said he was surprised she didn't refer to the "gulag" (in the sentence prior to this one) as "the DC goulash"!

If you hadn't written a song with this title, I would have had to! Some great rhymes here and there's a childish rhythmic intensity to the poetry that echoes her blustering vapidity.
@tawny249 Feb 2022
Woooow. That's....depressing but hilarious. Why am I not surprised. I love that you rhymed famous and ignoramus. That's gold. I can't wait for someone to put music to this.
@geoff61 Feb 2022
We have politicians here that are happy through ignorance and sheer braggadocio to throw their reputations under the bus on a daily basis spouting inane profundities :-)
@andyt13 Feb 2022
Nicely done!
@sph Feb 2022
yes, read this also. Oh my
@mikeb Feb 2022
This brought a big laugh this morning, Doug! Unfortunately, she's not the only idiot politician in this country.
@jayjay Feb 2022
Bwaaaahaaaaahaahahaha omg. So had to be said. Fantastic.
