This piece is for the Spitfire Audio Darkstar Haunted House competition which ends on February 12th. For this competition the video was provided and one had to score the scene predominantly using the Darkstar Haunted House library. I only used this library for all the sounds in this.
The video to me feels like a piece of lost footage found in archive so I wanted the music to have a less than pristine feel, like the sound had aged along with the images.
Since this is a haunting, I mangled some sounds to make a feeling of unease and also a theme that repeats many times in order to get that repetitious haunting feel.

lovely, those percussive snaps, booms, l/r, the ear tickles, the recuring motif in many timbre without expection, it all builds, into a rich atmosphere of foreboding. Well done again.

This definitely feels haunting. And enhances the video in the way a good film score should. This is a very powerful piece. I really like your production decision around the less than pristine feel to go with the "found footage" look if the film too.

Its hard to set a real good mood, especially a creepy one in a short amount of time. You really nailed it here. This is a spectacular little piece even without the video creeping me out a bit. Well done!

Creepy enough that I felt more comfortable listening without the video in front of me! Great composing.

The video was hypnotic. The music also. Awesome sound design! Really great work!

This. In earbuds. Walking the Cincinnati dead malls. Such a creepy vibe you've created. Ever thought about pitching your music to video games? Survival horror?

That video is mindbending, and your soundtrack really ups the creep factor.
Well done for sure.

super creepy. Nice take on this one. I like how it's got a found footage feel with a slight liminal spaces vibe going on.

Scoring for film can be challenging, especially when trying to match musical parts to certain film cues. But you did as masterful job here. I especially like how you've fit the main theme in with the video elements with which it appears. And I really like the song, as is, even without the video (I listened to both versions). Great work! I hope you get positive feedback from the contest for this!

Very cool atmosphere! Premade sounds eh? You certainly make them your own! Very cool creepy ambience and this certainly feels uneasy.
