No joke, looked out my window to see 10-12 vultures just chilling in a nearby oak tree this morning. They are amazing and gigantic and serene. They've inspired me for a while.
Definitely had "Stray Cat Strut" in my head while writing this.
And definitely choose parts on the piano that I can't play smoothly. But I think this one will be a keeper for a real recording soon.

Buzzards in a tree, buzzards in a tree
It’s not looking good for the likes of me
I tried to pray, found myself at a loss
Buzzards in a tree and vultures on the cross
Buzzards in a tree, eagles in a zoo
The phone flew off when I called you
Flowers try to break ground and get blown away
Buzzards in a tree at the top of the chain

Buzzards in a tree watch geese in the sky
Living by the rules so organized
I’ll sit and wait for some creature to die
Buzzards in a tree got no reason to lie

Blood on the road, blood on the tire
Blood on its beak, sits on a wire
Mess on the road for the cleanup crew
Baby I should’ve never ever ever flown from you
