Feb 2022 collab wordle fun wonkywordle
Pete- Mike sent me a voice recording yesterday.
Today I chopped it up and added some music.
These collabs are really fun!
Mike- Yes, I sent Pete a voice recording of me reciting a bunch of five letter words since lately I've fallen into playing this 'wordle' game (not that I'm very good or anything tho)-- and Pete, amazingly, turned it into something musical and way more fun!

I'm just starting to do some listening today and had to drop in and see what you were working on, knowing I'd find some great topical stuff waiting to be discovered.
I had a wordle song on my wishlist for this fawm. This is the first time I've allowed anyone to share their word ideas in order to keep my participation pure.
This is such a clever and appropriate arrangement - I wonder what you'd come up with for quordle!!!
Great job, you guys!

had to come back and listen again if only to tell you both that i have had this as my daily wordle earworm since i heard this. i love the catchiness of the chorus and i love mike's accent on it. i sing along to my earworm going wrrrrrds for wrrrrrrdl, wrrrrrds for wrrrrrrdl, wrrrrrds. for. wrrrrrrdl. still a great collab!
@guatecoop Feb 2022
Wow this is so fun and compelling! It grabbed me and I just couldn’t stop. Great backing song that seems to say something preposterous and the spoken word is fit in perfectly. Great collaboration!
@sherrycanary Feb 2022
Fun collab.
The music is beautifully quirky
@acousticmaddie Feb 2022
Nice collab, became really spooky and funny at the same time
@deena Feb 2022
So hilarious! It's perfect.
@n24 Feb 2022
This is a super creative piece! I love the kind of discordant and disorientating piano. This is genius!
@wobbiewobbit Feb 2022
love the chorus, so catchy. so musical. Mike has a perfect voice for it and the way pete has put it together just makes me smile so much. bravo lovely collab!
@kenficara Feb 2022
This is really funny — my feeds are full of articles about “What’s the best starting word for Wordle” and needless to say I do have my opinion which I will keep to myself. :D
@caseewilson Feb 2022
This is what happens when you let Willy Wonka loose with the concept of wordle! I'm waiting for the chorus of Oompa Loompas! Very silly and fun!
@ampersandman Feb 2022
As a non-native speaker I'm not familiar with the word 'wonky', but this tune sounds exactly like I imagined it: fun and a little out there. Loving the slight disharmony in the piano.
@stephenwordsmith Feb 2022
What an absolute carnival of sound! An odyssey of noise! The words are every bit as much an instrument as the instruments themselves. Everything boils and bubbles and coils and boings and there is such colour and movement and fun. This is what I hoped the results would be when Pete set us all this invitation/challenge.
@darcistrutt Feb 2022
Great timely tune! I have jumped in a few times…into wordle I mean. This makes me smile!
@kahlo2013 Feb 2022
This is absolutely fantastic! Delightful and quirky! I need to share this with my wordle buddy!
@carleybaer Feb 2022
This is so good!! The sound effects are ace. The delivery almost has a Ken Nordine-level of deadpan absurdity. I’m going to use these words in my next Wordle games. Great work you two!
@sheilerk Feb 2022
This is so cool! I'm amazed at the varied talents that come out of this place. In my wildest imagination I couldn't come up with that, but I enjoyed it way way too much!
@cindyrella Feb 2022
Haha! How create! A lot better than my Wordle song!
@zecoop Feb 2022
So much fun!! I love how cohesive and fresh it sounds, but I am not surprised because Pete has the skilz for anything. Nice prompt Mike!! That worked out great! :)
@seanbrennan Feb 2022
But who Wordles the Wordlers?
What a fun, zany romp! The sound effects, honestly, are what sell it most. The fade-out, then, is like I'm coming out of a trance from some bizarre training/hypnosis video in a dystopian thriller. I'm at once amused, unsettled, and just impressed by the tight composition.
