We all need people in our lives, no-one is an island...
Can you teach me how to feel
To not feel so alone
In this crazy messed up world
The place that we call home
Will you teach me how to live
To come in from the cold
As we watch the empires rise
And before we watch them fall
And it feels so cold living here without you
And it feels so cold living here without you
Can you teach me how to breathe
Breathe away the pain
Cos the feelings that we save
The hope we have for change
Can you teach me how to love
In a world that's full of hate
If I give you all I have
Before it's all too late
And it feels so cold living here without you
And it feels so cold living here without you
The carousel goes round again
Will it ever reach the end
The carousel goes round again
Will it ever reach the end
The carousel goes round again
Will it ever reach the end
The carousel goes round again
Will it ever reach the end
And it feels so cold living here without you
And it feels so cold living here without you
And it feels so cold living here without you
And it feels so cold living here without you
The carousel goes round again
Will it ever reach the end
The carousel goes round again
Will it ever reach the end

Love the harmonies on every other verse line and the chorus and then how you interweave the voices at the end. Really nice melody. Another winner!
@splittybooms Mar 2022
Oh that guitar sounds SO good. I'm quite uneducated on all things guitar - is that an acoustic that is mic'd up with fx? Whatever it is, it sounds great.
Really liking the melody on the chorus, catchy hook with great vocals.
Digging the vocals throughout period; nice harmonies and you two have great voices.
Also way too relatable lyrics that really hit home for me. I'm a total sad sack when it comes to this kind of thing so I'm a sucker for this one.
Put those lyrics to great music like this and I'm sold. Such a good feel to the track, nice gentle back and forth sway to it.
Again, great vocals, too.
This would find its way into my library if it came up on a random Spotify station or something.
@richaaaay Mar 2022
The harmonies, the catchy chorus, the awesomeness of it all…Well done…again!
@mandolinda Mar 2022
Your lyrics are very well written, and the circular pattern of a carousel is evident. Very nice vocals. I like your songs very much, thanks for #tit4tat, nice finding you.
@sherrycanary Mar 2022
Beautiful musical composition.
So well written.
The chorus is stellar, as are your harmonies.
I am just starting making rounds because of a late start.
I will be back. I am a fan!
@musicsongwriter Mar 2022
Brilliant song. Such a pleasure to listen to. I too love your choice of harmonies.
@driftwood1 Mar 2022
Awesome harmonies. Like a rock version of Simon and Garfunkel. This is a powerful appeal and the carousel is a strong image to focus it. You two crushed it. #tit4tat
@wolfkier Mar 2022
The harmonies are a treat. and the song just builds and builds. Nice production. Really enjoyable listen on a clear, easy to buy into lyric and the round chorus is a wonderful hook/earworm. You guys are, I think, my "happy find" of this fawm. Thanks for that. Well done.
#tit4tat.
@nahlej381 Mar 2022
Dang you guys are just really good songwriters that opening set of couplets is gripping all the lyrics are great and I love the repeating carousel bit. And the guitar sounds great. The backing vocals add so much flavor!
@eas3637 Feb 2022
Ahhh those harmonies - the way your voices blend on this is so great. I really like the repetition of the (incredibly catchy) chorus, and I agree with Beth on the "carousel goes round again" section - fantastic - and the way you've layered the tracks in the closing bars is so satisfying.
@bethdesombre Feb 2022
Yes! I love "So we can [I like the version you sang better than the one you wrote] watch the empires rise/before we watch them fall" and the chorus soars. You folks write choruses that can't help but get listeners singing. Love the carousel bridge and how it keeps going round.
@melaniepegge Feb 2022
Love that chorus. Big feeling in it. So catchy too.
@gwyn1234 Feb 2022
Spectacularly done in every respect and so every respect to you both!
@caitlin Feb 2022
Gahhhh, I’m so drawn in by your harmonies! The chorus just soars, lovely contrast against what the lyrics are saying. You guys do a great job with creating a vibe. I want to listen to this on repeat, it’s so good!
@liz561 Feb 2022
Great chorus and really lovely harmonies. Nice drive to the song.
@paulharrison Feb 2022
Great job! Memorable chorus and bridge (?) hat would be easy to imagine people singing along. Well performed too!
@clioem Feb 2022
Really professional-sounding song. Love the second voice harmonies!
@mariekevinkmusic Feb 2022
Love this. Tu-Kay and Ryan do. PAIN. Gentle pain, but still :-) Really nice vocal performance from both of you as well.
@pippa Feb 2022
I like the question, but no, it won't. And you.capture that in this production. I Iike the circular echoing overlays.. Great stuff, guys.
@mk2021 Feb 2022
Nice production. Loving the whole band vibe. Good use of dynamics too.
@andygriff Feb 2022
That chorus is a knockout! This certainly sounds like single material to me, I suspect this particular carousel may well be going round again in my head for the rest of the day :)
@celineellis Feb 2022
Well this is just lush - I like the vibe of this track for you guys. And can deffo hear that chorus and carousel lines being a totally awesome round when you play that live! Another corker!
@evinwolverton Feb 2022
Your voices jigsaw well. This groove is self-propulsive — appropriately circular, and without fatigue. This is gonna work really well live, I have a feeling.
@hylyan Feb 2022
Fantastic jam. Reminds me a little of one of my favorite bands, Guster
@fiddlerblick80 Feb 2022
This is a jam. I already started singing along. There's room for some really cool orchestration too. Well done, dears.
@kenmattsson Feb 2022
If I had to describe the parts of this I like, it would have to be "all of them". Instrumentation, playing, mixing, vocals, harmonies. You're doing everything I hope to learn how to do. So wonderful.
@akokulit Feb 2022
Did the time signature change in the intro? Nice work.
Lovely vocals from both of you as usual.
@andrea Feb 2022
This is super enjoyable. I love the catchy melodies and your voice is so good. I like the lyrics too. It's a great song in my book!
@jacobeverettwallace Feb 2022
Haaaaarmonies for days! Love the melodic choices. Very catchy. The repetition works perfectly for the song. I do agree on the comment below on the kick being lost in the mix, but do I think the bass in particular sounds quite tasty! I could see this song being accessible in venues large and small. Nice work!
@stephentanner Feb 2022
Boom! Really catchy chorus. Awesome driving rhythm through it. Clever repetition of carousel line, given the nature of the carousel. Just a great bloody song guys (again)
@oswlek Feb 2022
Cool stuff! Given the title and the repetitive chords, I knew a round would come. While it was more subtle than expected, it was still a joy to behold.
Great signing and a nice job of using melody to distinguish the sections. You might want to revisit to percussion. Despite the snare being really loud, I can barely hear the kick. And I might be imagining it when I do! Everything sounds too good to have the percussion that imbalanced.
Great job!
@wylddandelyon Feb 2022
Oh, nice tight harmonies! Pretty tune, too. And I like the words.
@nateger Feb 2022
Great singing! Love the hookiness of this tune. Verse and chorus are immediately singable. Really dig the lyric "As we watch the empires rise
And before we watch them fall". Powerful!
