Nadine
Stuck inside just like a lonely queen
Days of whiskey and amphetamine
Watching from her window
Paralyzed
Afraid of every sun to ever rise
Maybe she’s forgotten why she flies
She loves to chase the rainbow
Now she flickers like a candle
Ashes floating on the breeze
It’s getting hard to handle
These new memories
Nadine
I stare into her eyes of evergreen
I can’t help but wonder what they’ve seen
She’s silent like a hedgerow
She sang me a tune in the key of blue
Wrote me a poem the way that lovers do
I built her a boat and we sailed it to the moon
Where are you Nadine

Wow! You nailed that Beatles/XTC feel that I love.
The 12 string is beautiful and the organ with the sparse percussion in the beginning is brilliant then leading to the full band. Beautiful guitar solo as well.
I like the lyrics, a beautiful melancholy love story.
Great work! Top 5 for me this year.
Peace

Beautiful on every level. Your voice expresses the poignant lyrics so well. You can't help but fall into the song headfirst. You let us know her.
"Afraid of every sun to ever rise" just says so much.
Your guitar work and production are impeccable. It's just such a good song!!

Your guitar work is always impeccable! Lovely tones. I really enjoyed this lyric and your delivery. It's smooth but hits hard. Love the line "She sang me a tune in the key of blue"
Nice work!

Such a quality tune, not that I'm surprised, but still in awe. Love that guitar line, just beautiful, and your tender vocals (as always). The mix is top notch, so lush and well balanced, just pro work.
I first thought someone had made a tribute song to @nadine, but as far as I know she's not that much into amphetamines.

Ah matey another classic. Those guitar sounds are simply to die for. It has a kind of much better developed crowded house feel to it. And the depth in the mix with the reverby swathe behind the bass and pick leading to the perfect introduction of the drums is brilliantly done. Beautiful listen

I like your voice! It has a smooth, soothing timbre to it.
