Feb 2022 fuc comedy iloveshortsongs valentine
Hey, even my love songs are a bit screwy but it's super-short so lean into it?
Everything is first take. Recorded some drums for this, but I am bad at drumming so they got ditched.
EDIT 14/02 - I had an epiphany about this song this evening and cut it down to what it's really about. I dropped all the half-smart art references, which reduced it fro,m 50 seconds to 15 (the shortest song I've ever written I think) but I also think its point is much clearer now ... if you disagree the 12" version is still available here - https://www.johnnycashpoint.com/fawm22/jc_bp.mp3
I'm not into body shaming.
I don't care the shape you came in.
As long as you have heart, baby,
You'll always be a work of art to me.

Well it's a point that is not often in love songs, probably because they beat around the bush. But it is pretty central about love isn'it ? I'd say just as important as the fart-in-bed theorem.
The organ fits perfectly with the spirit of the song. (But I would love it if you had put it just because an organ is a body part.)

Haha! Both versions were fun and it’s hard to decide which I like better. Either way, it is fun and to the point… kind of. Big smiles for this…

great lyrics.. who needs drums anyway!

The pay-off is worth it! Sometimes a song just needs to get to the point :). I've no idea how to do that... Good stuff here!

Dude I'm super jealous of your short songs skills! Whenever I try, I can't seem to be able to do it. So good, I love stuff like this. Rhyming is on point and the song ends slightly earlier than expected, which is what makes the length so perfect in my opinion. Good stuff.

ha! love all the art references and what a fun sentiment in that last verse... this is fun in all the right places, and great to hear! :)
