Part I: Genesis
Chapter 4 (Continued from https://fawm.org/songs/128530/)
Stacy was drawn back into the trailer by a commercial for Ronco’s “In the Eggshell Egg Scrambler”. But before she closed the door, her daughter, Anima, slipped covertly out into the wide world.
Anima looked around in awe at the impressively realistic 3D world without even needing those goofy 3D glasses! But she knew naught of the evil doers and freedom haters running rampant in the post-free-love society. Nascently crossing into the yard of her neighbor, she pointed and clicked the remote control at a tree, then a cat.
Startled, the remote slipped to the littered ground as Ted Nugent burst violently from his trailer next door wearing bear skin pajamas and waving a grenade launcher. He launched a grenade at Anima, blowing her trailer to smithereens, and instantly vaporizing her redneck parents. He screamed incoherent phrases like, “Wang dang sweet poontang!”, “You kids get outta my yard!”, and something about The Nimby Syndrome.
Don’t put that in my back yard
Go outside with that cigar
Don’t knock over my guitar
I said get out of my back yard
Don’t throw up in my new car
See ya later, au revoir
And each smile all over the Earth
Milks it for all that it’s worth
Well, yeah, but not in my back yard
Yeah, right, well not in my back yard
You can rape children
Drink acid
Kill dolphins
But just not in my back yard
I’m aware of what you like
Keep your laws out of my life
You have your dream, I'll have mine
Don’t tell me what I should do
I don’t want to be like you
Wake me up when you get through
And each smile all over the Earth
Milks it for all that it’s worth
Well, yeah, but not in my back yard
Yeah, right, well not in my back yard
You can change seasons
Start wars for good reasons
But just not in my back yard
I’m aware of what you like
Keep your laws out of my life
You have your dream, I'll have mine
All the world is too far gone
Like I told you all along
All for one and one for all?
And each smile all over the Earth
Milks it for all that it’s worth
Well, yeah, but not in my back yard
Yeah, right, well not in my back yard
Well, yeah, but not in my back yard
Yeah, right, well not in my back yard
I said, don’t put that in my back yard
I said, no more, not in my back yard
I said, get your ass out of my fucking yard!

WTF is this sissy bullshit? You suck. This is college radio at it's finest. I confess I'm not following the story I'm just checking out the tunes so forgive me if I'm sounding like it's going over my head.

This rocks. I like how you allocated space for all the instruments. Guitars nice and mid-heavy and crunchy, rock solid bass and kick, and snare/cymbals up high. NIMBYs?!! No NIMBYs in MY backyard! Wait - the NIMBY is calling from inside the house!!??

As it's a concept album I figured I'd best start at the beginning so I listened to all four tracks. I was really impressed. I don't remember coming across a concept album since they fell out of favour at the end of the 1970s. This has a highly imaginative comic strip style story and some really strong songs. I really like your voice and the variety in the songs which I think is particularly essential in a concept style album. I hope it gets you a lot of attention!

I really like your song! The instrumentation is awesome and i really dig the string section that you added. The mix on the vocals is also perfect. Good job!
