Thanks, @sunfire for these lovely sensuous, and gentle lyrics. I really had a good time making music to them.
I've listened a lot "Look Through Any Window" by the Hollies ( music and words by great Graham Gouldman, who was later in 10 CC and Charles Silverman ). It has this peculiar feel of ambiguity in the chords. It seems like some of the sections are in a different key than others. Some Beatles songs have the same feel. For a long time, I wanted to find out how it was done and couldn't. Then with this song, I just copied some of the chords and half bar of melody from that Hollies song and it worked. Which was nice.

There's a lover out there
When the night comes to bare
I've got magic on my side
With the rising waves and tide
And the warm gentle breeze
Late at night is like a tease
Lucky stars shining bright
As she comes into sight
Summer moon
In the sky
Summer moon
Lifts me high
Summer moon
Summer moon
Summer moon
Summer moon
Can seduce
Summer moon
Glows profuse
Summer moon
Summer moon
Summer moon
There's a kiss after dark
Holding hands in the park
Mesmerized by what I see
Fantasies are finally free
Temptation ever close
A hypnotizing dose
With beauty all around
This passion's slowly wound
Summer moon
In the sky
Summer moon
Lifts me high
Summer moon
Summer moon
Summer moon
Summer moon
Can seduce
Summer moon
Glows profuse
Summer moon
Summer moon
Summer moon
Chorus repeats and fades off

Hooky start. Has a 70s feel with the very melodic treatment snd cool chord changes. What a great collab.
@seemanski Feb 2022
Great groove, that bass line really cements this all together. I really enjoyed the pitch shift in the chorus that really sets it in its place. Great words, great take and great Collab.

Really lovely song. you may say retro 70s but a brilliant melody is a brilliant melody and the structure and progressions are really perfect. Beautiful delicate production and ooo its so gentle and has a flow of all the classic songs. Briliiant

Very good melody!

This would have been a summer hit in 1971
Arranger Keyboards are ideal for recreating the feel of a period painlessly. Nice one!

Nice lounge style with this one, lush and full production. Great vocals and lyrics.
I am reminded of the Hollies and the Beatles in the harmonies.
@sunfire Feb 2022
I'm playing this over & over, Klaus. Thank you again for your lovely music that brought the words to life. Cheers! Really enjoying this.

Really beautiful tune, with those mysterious chords and that nice 70s mellow guitar. Lovely lyrics as well, particularly "a hypnotic dose." Overall summery feel, with a great break (vocals and strings) and little riff at the end.

I love how you sing 'summer moon' right before the second verse, but what I like most is when you go Beach Boys. Your research certainly paid off, you're a craftsman, Klaus. Great work!

Right down memory lane for me. Fantastic melody, and lyrics are so good.
@bandybum Feb 2022
Ah Klaus, you are in a class of your own. I love it! Those smooth, carefree vocals, classy chord changes and laid back feelings being invoked gel perfectly with those sweet lyrics. Fab stuff :)

I love it! I feel like it could be on the soundtrack to a studio ghibli film…
@billwhite51 Feb 2022
gorgeous chorus. i can hear beach boys harmony executed by klaus alone. the whole songs evokes the summer nights of making love on river banks.

Of course I knew this would be great stuff and it is! It does reminds me of the Hollies and Beatles. Takes me back to my childhood. Love it!
