This song has nothing to do with the iconic book Silent
Spring, but it is all about how our bodies are fluid and the silent spring that runs the whole internals and subtle body we never really examine, but instead we get drawn into the insecurities of our own narrative.
Silent Spring:
V1:
We all like to think that we are ….free
Yet….. I can feel some other kind of need,
Like a silent spring, silent spring,
that never falls
V2: Answerin’ to yourself is so easy….,
One can never run / from this timeless patient call,
Like silent springs, silent springs,
Under us all
Chorus:
You wonder what it is that drags in fear,
Year on year, year on year.
You’ve never thought to question which you hear,
Year on year, year on year.
V3:
I’ve been waiting to just to hear your voice,
Trying to trust and not to be tempted to avoid, those
silent springs, silent springs inside us all.
Like silent springs, like silent springs that know your name.
And you wonder what it is that drags in fear,
Year on year, year on year.
You’ve never thought to question just what you hear,
Year on year, year on year.
Silent Springs, silent spring, it’s wistful call,
You wonder what it is that drags in fear,
Year on year, year on year.
You’ve never thought to question what you hear,
Year on year, year on year.

Love it! Beautiful lyrics and melody and your voice suits it so well! Also the intro was really cool, the change was unexpected but worked so well

Love that introductory section - very Incredible String Band and then that joyful burst into a more Tom Petty(ish) acoustic rocker. This grabbed me like a bulldog who won't let you go.
Poetic lyrics that hint at a mystery beyond their surface. And great vocals too! Chapeau!

What a neat topic to address. The extended instrumental intro underscores the patience we should have in listening to what's not speaking in words - the upbeat groove starts, and you still make us wait, a bit more!
Bold layers of guitars, chords and riffs, give a really good impression of streams of water under the surface, each having their channels of flow. I think this works very very well, glad I found it!
